Porcelain tiles can be safely used both indoors and outdoors, both on the floor and on the wall. In outdoor conditions, it is recommended to use structural R11 tiles with high slip resistance on the floor.
In bathrooms, to avoid the risk of slipping, it is recommended to use ceramic tiles with R10 slip resistance on the floor.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between wall and floor tiles?
Floor tiles are stronger and more hard-wearing, and carry a slip resistance rating. Wall tiles are often thinner and lighter. Floor tiles can also be used on walls, but wall tiles should not be used on floors.
What slip resistance do I need for a bathroom floor?
For bathroom and shower room floors, choose a tile with at least R10 slip resistance, especially in the shower. R9 is usually enough for living rooms and kitchens. The slip resistance rating is listed in each product's details.
What are large-format tiles?
Large ceramic tiles are usually 60×120 cm or larger. With fewer grout lines, the surface looks seamless and spacious and is easier to clean. Large tiles need a particularly flat substrate for installation.
How many extra tiles should I order?
Add 5–10% for cutting waste, and more for awkward rooms or diagonal layouts. Order all your tiles at once, as shades can vary slightly between production batches.
