Alcove shower screen Hietakari Infinia 241, hinged door + hinged door is a shower screen that is installed between two opposite walls in an alcove and separates the shower area from the rest of the bathroom, made by the Finnish manufacturer Hietakari. The set consists of the following parts: Hinged door A, Hinged door B. The frame is available in white, aluminium or black, and you can choose clear glass, grey tinted glass, Chinchilla patterned glass or satin frosted glass. You choose the width of each panel on the product page – all standard sizes are the same price.
The hinged door opens 90° outwards and has an adjustable centring that returns the door to the open and closed positions. A pair of magnet handles keeps the door tightly closed while showering.

Installation
The glass panels are attached from the sides to the building walls with wall profiles. The fixed wall is supported at the top by a brace bar and at the bottom by a fitting glued to the floor. There is a gap of about 25 mm between the fixed panel and the floor, which can be closed with the seal supplied as standard. The parts can also be installed in the opposite direction to the one shown in the drawing.
Frame and fittings
The profiles are made of aluminium. White (RAL 9016) and black (RAL 9005) are powder coated, the aluminium finish is anodized and sandblasted so that fingerprints do not show. The fittings are made of brass alloy and match the frame colour: white or black fittings with white and black frames, chrome-plated fittings with the aluminium frame.
Glass
The panels are made of 6 mm tempered safety glass (EN 12150). Clear and grey tinted glass are smooth and transparent, Chinchilla and satin glass are translucent – details cannot be seen through them. Chinchilla is patterned on one side, satin glass is etched on one side to a velvety finish, and the etched surface is more sensitive to scratches and stains. Cranith anti-limescale coating can be added at the factory to help the glass stay clean longer.
Sizes and adjustment
The height is 1900 mm. The wall profiles have a total adjustment tolerance of 35 mm for levelling tilted walls and fitting the product into the opening. A 34 mm extension profile can be added if needed. For a custom size, ask us for a quote.
Water tightness
A 28 mm high floor seal is supplied as standard. If the floor slope in the shower area is steeper than usual, choose the 50 mm high seal. A step profile (10 mm high, 16 mm wide) can be installed under the door to improve water tightness further.
