Description
Pallmann P104 1-component polyurethane primer, 6 kg – application information
The optimum working temperature is 18–25 °C, with a floor temperature of at least 15 °C and relative humidity between 35–65%. Lower temperatures extend the working, installation and curing times, while higher temperatures shorten them.
The product has a shelf life of at least 9 months in its original packaging when stored in dry conditions. Protect from frost and do not store at temperatures above 40 °C.
Opened containers must be tightly resealed and the contents used as soon as possible.
A two-coat application is required on highly absorbent or old substrates and when the product is used as an odour barrier beneath levelling compounds. Two coats are also required when the product is used as a moisture barrier for residual moisture levels up to 4 CM-% / 95% relative humidity.
For substrates with underfloor heating, the heating system must first be commissioned and fully tested in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Subsequent direct bonding with reactive resin adhesives must be carried out within 72 hours after application of the primer.
If a wooden floor is installed directly onto the primed surface using PALLMANN reactive resin adhesives, installation must also be carried out within 72 hours after application of the primer.
Generally accepted working and installation practices, as well as the requirements of applicable national standards such as EN, DIN, ÖNORM, SIA, etc., must be observed when installing wooden floors and floor coverings.
The following standards and guidelines are particularly recommended and applicable:
- DIN 18356 – Installation of parquet and wood flooring
- TKB / FCIO – Assessment and preparation of substrates for the installation of floor coverings and wood flooring
