Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between design parquet and ordinary plank parquet?

Ordinary plank parquet boards are all alike and laid in straight rows. Design parquet boards are shaped to create a pattern or distinctive look on the floor, making the floor a key part of the room's design.

Is design parquet harder to install?

Because of the pattern, design parquet usually needs more careful planning and more cutting than straight-laid plank parquet. Before installation, it's worth marking out the start of the pattern from the centre of the room and ordering 10–15% extra for cutting waste.

Where does design parquet work best?

Design parquet works especially well in living rooms, hallways and prestigious spaces where the floor is an important part of the design. The pattern shows best over large areas; in a smaller room, choose a calmer pattern.

Is design parquet suitable for underfloor heating?

Yes, most engineered design parquet is suitable for underfloor heating. As a rule, the floor surface temperature should not exceed 27 °C. Underfloor heating suitability is listed in each product's details.
